There are many different sports within Thailand, certainly centering on fighting and martial arts. One of the most popular sports for spectators within Thailand is Muay Thai Boxing. If you aren’t familiar with the sport, it looks much like kick boxing and involves a great deal of physical contact and sparring. There is nothing better than a great fight, and Thais know it. There are several Muay Thai stadiums located throughout the entire country of Thailand, offering several opportunities for the entire population to take a gaze at these magnificent fighters. There is wild music playing with a ceremony to start the match, with action that can take the lead of any Western blockbusters. Muay Thai Boxing is a most common way to pass the time and enjoy spectator sports within Thailand.

A traditional form of martial arts within Thailand, Kraabi Krabong involves various hand-held weapons used in intricate techniques with boxing styles that create an amazing show for spectators and threats to the opponent. Much like volleyball of the Western world, Sepak Takraw is played with a ball and a net. Much unlike the Western world volleyball, the game is played by kicking the ball over the net. If any part of the body other than the feet or the head touches the ball, the team loses the play. The actual movements and techniques of the players is quite magnificent and can be quite awing to watch. There are several strategies of these players that give the game a life of its own, pleasing many that stand on the sides to watch.

The great thing about Thai sports is that you can watch them in many places. There are matches within various festivals and there are games played in various venues. This allows for the sport to have more of a fanatic edge to it than with high priced games you have to work for months to afford. Thai sports strongly display their culture, both past and present, allowing those not familiar with the area, the opportunity to look within its character. The games are quite magnificent to watch and stunning as well.
