In recent years there has been a popularity growth to build stunning Chao Phraya apartments and condominiums, each developer seemingly keen to outdo each other in the use of land, the state of art facilities that comes along with the condominium, breath taking designs that makes it stand apart from the masses of current and incoming high rise residential buildings. Now, the edge of Chao Phraya has become some of the most extravagant and impressive residential areas in Bangkok.
One of the most exclusive that one can find by the River of Kings is The Chatrium.
The Chatrium units are larger than most modern Bangkok condos constructed in the last 5 years. A Grade A condominium development, each and every unit possesses a clear and unblocked view of the Chao Phraya river. With a massive range of facilities, The Chatrium can almost feel like a self-contained town on the side of the Chao Phraya River. Facilities in this exclusive Bangkok condominium development range from large swimming pools, gymnasiums and gardens, to tennis courts, shops and cafes.
With units on the large size, they are also more expensive to rent in comparison to many Sukhumvit and Sathorn condos. However, one may be surprised that it actually works out about the same price or even cheaper if we go according to per sqm. A large 65sqm 1 Bedroom condos in The Chatrium condominium will cost as much as THB 40 000/month to rent. Renting a Chao Phraya condominium may come at a premium price, but if one were to consider the fantastic range of facilities that come along with it, and not to forget the beautiful view of the River and Grade A finishing, the price will seemed justified.
The Watermark Chao Phraya is possibly the most extravagant Chao Phraya condominium development to date, with a list of facilities as long as any Bangkok condominium development. With the Watermark containing such large units at Grade A standard, prices and rental prices are also at a premium. But with clear river views, as many facilities as an Amusement Park and top class finishes all round it, it makes for luxurious living. Perhaps you have not got THB 40 000++ to spend to rent a Bangkok condo but still prefers the terrific view of the river, there are some less expensive alternatives which can be hunted down.
Supalai River Place
One such condo is Supalai River Place, a ChaoPhraya condo with units starting at just 12 500 Baht/month. Studios with 35sqm of living space can offer an inexpensive and practical way for someone who wants to enjoy the river views Chao Phraya has to offer, but does not want to break the bank to do so. Supalai River Place, like The Chatrium and The Watermark, is within easy access of a BTS station. This allows easy access to Bangkok’s CBD and even Siam Square can be reached in just under 30 mins.
Lumpini (LPN) Chao Phraya
One other excellent riverside condominium development is the LPN Chao Phraya, or Lumpini Chao Phraya, this excellent Bangkok condo development is one of Lumpini Developments best buildings and Studio condos can be rented for 11 000 Baht/month with great views of the Chao Phraya River.
Again with a range of facilities including a swimming pool gymnasium and car parking, this is a very comfortable condominium to live in. This Bangkok condo building also offers easy access to Rama III expressway and is close to Central Rama III.
Finally, Baan Sathorn, a stylish glass coated Chao Phraya condominium, is located opposite Saphan Taksin BTS station and with a Grade A finish and facilities to match, it makes a great alternative to The Chatrium or The Watermark. In addition, Baan Sathorn has a convenient ferry service to the Saphan Taksin BTS pier. Extremely chic 2 bedroom condo units can be rented in the Baan Sathorn for as little as 40 000 Baht/month. With the convenience of the BTS, the river views and the luxurious fittings, it makes clients looking forward to live near to the Chao Phraya river.
