For those who are familiar with Bangkok condo or apartment rentals, they would also be familiar with the essential mantra that goes hand in hand with a rental search. “Location! Location! Location!” Living near a BTS Sky Train or MRT underground station definitely allows one more access to see the city and experience the culture that it is reputed to be. These transportation entities eradicate the hassle of walking from one part of the city to another. Living near these trains and forms of transportation will be a delight to the renter. So when you are picking out your Bangkok Condo or Bangkok Apartment rental keep in mind the transportation issue, its is a priority.Nothing and believe me when I say this , nothing is worse then spending hours in a Bangkok traffic jam.
However, with prime location comes a higher price of rentals and purchase right? Not if you are able to do an extensive research. It’s all about keeping your ears and eyes wide open and staying in touch with our good agents. There are comprehensive cheap Bangkok accommodation sites, which lists hundreds of properties and is very well laid out, with photos of most of the apartments. Yet keep in mind how far these Apartments and Condos are from easy transportation. Maybe that is something you may not mind but it does get old after a while. So the extra price you pay in rent may be worth it.
Where are the best locations to look for a Bangkok apartment or a Bangkok Condo? Locations which many foreigners like: Sukhumvit Road and the area around Victory Monument. Sukhumvit -- is a long busienss and tourist arteries, like a Thai 5th Avenue -- is home to most of Bangkok's expat communities, with the Middle Easterners in the one section, the London English and Japanese in another. The Thai high-society ( so ha) and Thai middle classes further up. This makes Sukhumvit a delightful district city to live in, and also quite a pricey one. But the huge variety of accommodation available around this area means that you can find really good condo deals if you're fortunate. The area of Sukhumvit we think is one of the best areas anywhere along the skytrain if you can afford to rent or buy here.
The other main area, by Victory Monument on the other side of the city, it is also well connected to the BTS Skytrain route and some feel less touristy than some areas of Sukhumvit. Victory Monument area also house the diplomatic quarter of many embassies and ambassadors, hence it is quite a quiet and safe area to live in for a Bangkok Apartment or Bangkok Condo rental.
Living on a budget of 25,000 -30,000 THB per month is not impossible, though it may be frustrating to find a decent place to rent within that price range. Having said that, let me reiterate the fact that it is not impossible. It’s all about keeping one’s eyes and ears wide open. THB 25,000 rental per month is sufficient for one to rent a furnished apartment, including all bills in not a great location but ok. That's just over $800 a month. Bills include water and electric, obviously, and electricity can be a costly if you use air-conditioning all day and night, if not included. Do budget around THB 2,000 to THB 3,000 per month for your air-conditioning bill and check what are the apartment charges per unit of electricity and the flat rate monthly for water and if there are any extras. Here our agents will provide those type of details for you in all our rentals we list.
Condo hunting in Bangkok can be quite frustrating if you're in the 25,000 Thai baht and below bracket. Those that do are either for more costly places or look in web sites so badly put together with outdated listing that they're unuseable. Our agents tend to work very well with those who can afford THB 30,000 and up as their price range but we may help you with lower end as well. Overall we will do our best to find you the best Bangkok condo rentals for your needs.
